Journalism Big Day

Join us at 12:30 p.m. March 27 in Alumni Hall for a celebration of excellence across the King’s journalism programs.

The event will feature a keynote address by Madison Irvine, creator and host of the “Ring on It?” Podcast, followed by the third annual Big Day Journalism Awards. Students in classes from first to fourth year and the MJ and Bachelor of Journalism programs are eligible for 13 different awards for text, audio/video, photo and multimedia work.

There will be door prizes and a lucky journalism student attending the day will walk away with the grand prize of a Zoom audio recorder.

Students from the video documentary workshop will present their films in the KTS room. Students will vote to choose their favourite documentary for 2026.
